AI Engineer - Generative AI & Intelligent Applications

About the Job you are considering: We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and cloud AI services. The AI Engineer will work closely with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. Key Responsibilities: 1. AI & Generative AI Development • Design and develop multi-agent AI-powered applications using LLMs and Generative AI technologies. • Build intelligent assistants, AI copilots, chatbots, and business process automation solutions. • Develop and optimize prompt engineering frameworks and model interactions. • Integrate enterprise applications with AI services and APIs. • Implement AI solutions that address business and operational challenges. 2. RAG & Agentic AI Solutions • Design and develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions. • Build AI agents capable of interacting with enterprise systems, APIs, and databases. • Implement vector search, embeddings, and semantic retrieval capabilities. • Develop Text-to-SQL and natural language query solutions. • Utilize frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Semantic Kernel. 3. Data Integration & AI Engineering • Develop data pipelines to support AI and machine learning workloads. • Integrate structured and unstructured enterprise data with AI applications. • Build reusable AI services, APIs, and microservices. • Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are maintained. • Support semantic search and knowledge management solutions. 4. Deployment, Monitoring & Optimization • Deploy AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. • Implement MLOps and LLMOps practices for model lifecycle management. • Monitor model performance, accuracy, latency, and cost. • Optimize AI applications for scalability, reliability, and efficiency. • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for AI solutions. Must-Have Skills: 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or Data Engineering, including 2+ years building Generative AI applications.Strong expertise in LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, MCP, NLP, Prompt Engineering, and Conversational AI solutions.Hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, Gemini, and Hugging Face.Proficient in Python, SQL, REST APIs, FastAPI/Flask, and Git for developing scalable, production-ready AI applications.Experience with vector databases, semantic search, embeddings, and knowledge retrieval systems using Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, and FAISS.Strong cloud and DevOps expertise across Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, MLOps, and LLMOps.Knowledge of AI security, governance, responsible AI practices, and experience delivering solutions in regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, and Healthcare.
