QA Engineer - Manual and Automation Testing

Description: Global Dealer System (GDS) team is on a mission to enhance and optimize the GDS application for the client. With members spanning across Poland, UK, Sweden, Brazil, China, and Belgium, we're a global force to be reckoned with. GDS is the beating heart of client Dealership and Workshop landscape, empowering business, and financial operations across 36 markets with an impressive user base of 15,000+. We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and work on the GDS project. This initiative focuses on developing comprehensive end-to-end tests for Desktop based applications, aimed at ensuring the robustness and reliability of internal workflows and system functionalities. As part of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality solutions that support critical operations within the organization. Team members are expected to attend the office in line with the established team schedule. Preference will be given to candidates based in or near Wrocław. Technical skills: ISTQB testing principles, Test plan, Test Strategy, Bug tracking, Testing Methodologies etc. Knowledge in any programming language (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) Knowledge about Agile process Knowledge in testing Desktop application and API testing Knowledge in SQL Queries Knowledge in Azure DevOps (ADO) Knowledge in AI Assisted testing using tools like GitHub Copilot, AzureDevOps MCPs, ChatGPT etc.. Nice to have: Experience in Desktop based application automation tools like Ranorex. Experience in both desktop and web application testing Basic knowledge of Azure Cloud services Basic knowledge in IBM i RPG language Soft skills: Full professional proficiency in English Open-minded, honest, and collaborative team player with a positive attitude and appreciation for a fun work environment Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Quick learner with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as effectively within a team Mode of Work: In-office. Currently, the requirement is 2 days per week in the office, with a planned transition to 5 days per week. Remote work is strictly not permitted. Location: Wroclaw, Poland Project: Global Dealer System (GDS) is a Dealer Management System comprising multiple modules, including Workshop, Parts, Mechanic, Invoicing, and other dealer-related functionalities. It is a desktop-based application, not a web-based application. Application Technology Stack: Backend: IBM i RPG Frontend: Java CI/CD, Repository, Test Management, Bug Tracking & Requirements: Azure DevOps (ADO) Team Structure: The project follows stable team framework comprising of: Digital Product Owner (DPO) Developers QA Engineers Business Analysts QA Tools & Technologies: Azure DevOps (ADO): Test Planning, Test Case Management, Bug Tracking, Requirements Management, Repository, and CI/CD Pipelines Test Automation: Ranorex with C# API Testing: Insomnia Job Role: 80% Manual Testing and 20% Test Automation (Ranorex is the tool used for test automation script maintenance. However, candidates with experience in other automation tools are also welcome, provided they are willing to learn Ranorex and maintain the existing test suite.)
