📌 Job Title: Lead BI Engineer 📝 Engagement: Full Time, Permanent 🌏 Location: London - Hybrid ⌚ Working hours: 0845 -1730 💰 Salary: Negotiable DOE About the role Lead BI Engineer responsible for cross‑project platform architecture, governance and technical oversight. Operates as a senior technical authority across BI platform engineering, ensuring scalability, security, cost‑efficiency and reliability. Drives consistency, reusable patterns and best‑practice engineering across multiple teams and engagements. What you'll do Lead the design of complex BI platform architecture, including capacity strategy, environment topology, security model and CI/CD approachOwn cross‑project platform governance, ensuring consistency of security, capacity and deployment standards across teamsInfluence platform and infrastructure decisions across BI, Data Engineering and Architecture teamsOperate across multiple projects, providing senior platform oversight and acting as an escalation point for complex capacity, security or reliability issuesDefine reusable platform engineering patterns (infrastructure‑as‑code, deployment pipelines, monitoring frameworks)Identify and resolve cross‑workstream platform risks, dependencies and cost inefficienciesShape delivery approaches in partnership with BI Developers, BI Analysts, Data Engineers and ArchitectsSupport stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams on platform capability, capacity and security decisionsMentor and guide BI Engineers across teams, improving platform engineering quality and capability What you'll bring Deep expertise designing and operating large‑scale BI/analytics platforms (Fabric, Power BI, Databricks, Synapse)Strong knowledge of capacity planning, cost optimisation and scaling strategiesExpert understanding of platform security, governance and compliance controlsProven experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD practices for BI environmentsAbility to diagnose and resolve complex platform engineering problems across systems and teamsStrong communication and stakeholder‑influence skills, able to guide senior decision‑makersLeadership through influence, driving consistency and best practice across multiple teams• Confident communicator able to represent Acora’s platform standards in client environmentsOperates effectively across multiple projects and ambiguous environmentsStrong ownership mindset with high accountabilityStructured problem‑solver with commercial awarenessDemonstrates leadership through expertise rather than formal authority What we offer 25 days leave + bank holidaysYour birthday offEnhanced parental leaveCompany PensionPrivate medicalGym membershipCycle to work schemeEmployee assistance programmeEndless learning opportunities Who are we Acora are a progressive full-stack full-service business technology services partner, built for the AI era.
