Lead Full Stack Software Engineer

About The Role As a Lead Full-stack Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain information systems in the agricultural sector for our Client, a European public sector organization. You will work evenly across the stack — Angular and JavaScript front ends consuming REST services built on Java, Spring, and JPA over a SQL data layer — and take technical ownership of what you deliver, from API contracts and data models through to release and long-term maintainability. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features, covering Angular and JavaScript front ends and the Java and Spring services behind themTake technical ownership of the solutions you deliver, including their performance, security, maintainability, and data integrity across the application and persistence layersWork with business analysts, fellow engineers, and stakeholders in the agricultural domain to turn requirements into working software, and support colleagues through code review and knowledge sharingDesign, build, and maintain REST services that connect user interfaces with back-end business logic and integrating systemsImplement business logic and data access using Spring and JPA, and design and optimize the SQL data model and queries beneath themAnalyse, maintain, and evolve existing information systems, understanding current behavior before changing it and preserving compatibility where requiredContribute to architecture and technical decisions, and uphold the team's coding conventions and quality standardsEnsure code quality through testing and code review, and produce and maintain technical documentation for the components you deliver Requirements A university degree at master's level (or 5 years of higher education) with a minimum of 15 years of IT professional experience; or a degree at bachelor's level (or 3 years of higher education) with a minimum of 17 years; or a secondary degree giving access to higher education with a minimum of 22 yearsAt least 10 years of experience with JavaScriptAt least 10 years of experience with AngularAt least 10 years of experience with RESTAt least 8 years of experience with JavaAt least 8 years of experience with JPA and at least 8 years with SQLAt least 7 years of experience with SpringExperience with AWS, Git, Maven, and JUnit is considered an assetVery good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to Level B2 or higher (CEFR) SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
