Role Description The Odoo Developer & Business Systems Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mosta, Malta. This role involves designing, developing, and customizing Odoo modules to support business processes across advisory, recruitment, and academy operations. The specialist will configure workflows, integrate third-party applications, manage databases, and ensure data integrity and system performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, implementing solutions, and documenting configurations and changes. The role also includes providing user support and troubleshooting, preparing training materials, collaborating with cross-functional teams on system improvements, and contributing to ongoing optimization and scalability of the company’s business systems. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to understand complex business workflows, interpret requirements, and translate them into effective system solutions.Candidates should possess software development skills, preferably in Python and Odoo framework, including customizing modules, creating new features, and maintaining code quality.Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to diagnose system issues, resolve bugs, and provide timely technical support to internal stakeholders.Candidates should possess database skills, including experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), data modeling, queries, and performance optimization.Candidates should possess project management skills to plan and prioritize tasks, coordinate with business users, and deliver configurations and developments within agreed timelines.Experience with ERP systems (Odoo or similar), system integration (APIs, web services), and version control tools is highly beneficial.Good communication skills, ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders, and a structured approach to documentation and training are required.A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences environments and familiarity with compliance-oriented processes
