Lead Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote /Hybrid (Gliwice) Contract: B2B Engagement: Full-time English: B2/C1 Experience: 5+ years in Software Development/Full Stack Development About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to join Spiel and work closely with one of our international clients on the development of an ambitious digital product combining automotive, gaming and interactive experiences. The project is being developed around a digital automotive ecosystem connecting technology, virtual experiences and the world of exceptional and classic cars. You will join an existing development team, bringing strong senior-level software development expertise across front-end and back-end, together with the ability to provide technical leadership, help define technology choices and development direction, and guide the team in making key technical decisions. You will support other developers while collaborating closely with product, technical and management teams to ensure that technology decisions are aligned with the broader product and business goals. We are looking for someone who is comfortable not only with complex technical challenges, but also with understanding the broader product and business context behind them. Your responsibilitiesDeveloping and improving complex, scalable and high-performance web applications across front-end and back-endContributing to application and system architecture and key technical decisionsWorking closely with developers across different areas of the technology stack as part of an existing development teamSupporting and mentoring other developers by sharing knowledge and best practicesTranslating business and product requirements into effective technical solutionsEnsuring high standards of code quality, performance and maintainabilityParticipating in code reviews and supporting technical problem-solvingContributing to development standards and efficient engineering workflowsCommunicating technical opportunities, limitations and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat we're looking for5+ years of commercial experience in Software Development, including strong Full Stack experienceStrong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js, including the React ecosystem.Strong understanding of front-end and back-end architecture and experience building complex, scalable applicationsExperience designing and integrating APIs, backend services and data-driven applicationsUnderstanding of cloud-based environments and modern cloud architectureExperience with performance optimization and applications involving dynamic or real-time contentGood understanding of software development practices, testing, CI/CD and version controlHands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, particularly Claude/Claude Code, and the ability to use them effectively as part of the day-to-day development workflow.Previous experience in a senior role, including mentoring, supporting or coordinating the work of other developersAbility to make technical decisions and take responsibility for assigned areasStrong product mindset and ability to understand the business context behind technical requirementsAbility to communicate effectively with management, product and technical teamsFluent and comfortable communication in English (B2/C1)Proactive, independent and solution-oriented approachExperience with Jira or similar task management tools and structured development workflowsNice to haveExperience with gaming or interactive digital products, with familiarity with Unreal Engine and web technologies used to connect browser-based applications with game experiences.Familiarity with 3D art and game development concepts, including coordinate spaces, materials, events and frames, enabling effective collaboration with 3D artists and game developers.Experience working with WebGL, Three.js or similar technologiesExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google CloudExperience working on international products and with distributed teamsInterest in automotive, motorsport or classic carsExperience building consumer-facing digital products with a strong focus on user experienceExperience with JSON-RPC or similar remote procedure call protocols would be an advantageFamiliarity with NVIDIA GeForce NOW (GFN), cloud gaming platforms or browser-based game streaming solutions would be an advantage What we offerB2B cooperationRemote/hybrid work with the possibility of working from GliwiceDirect involvement in an international, technology-driven projectOpportunity to have a meaningful impact on technical and product decisionsClose cooperation with an international development, product and management teamOpportunity to grow into broader technical and team leadership responsibilities as the project developsWork at the intersection of technology, gaming and automotive
