Lead Data Engineer

You will help modernise our platforms, enhance our information assets and advance the sector's analytical and operational capabilities. Your jobDefine and develop solutions and data models that meet the sector's analytical needs.Design, develop and maintain robust and high-performance data pipelines, in batch or real-time processing with Kafka, in cloud environments.Integrate and automate data between systems and business applications, then optimise processing with SQL and Python.Implement governance, control, quality and security mechanisms to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.Influence the evolution of data strategy, platforms and infrastructures, while promoting the adoption of recognised engineering and automation practises. Your teamWithin the Financial crime and regulatory projects sector, you will be part of the FinCrim Data Warehouse team and report to the Senior Manager – Technology Delivery – Data and Analytics. The team stands out for its expertise in data engineering and its commitment to developing reliable, high-performance and scalable solutions that support the Bank's financial crime activities and regulatory initiatives. PrerequisitesA bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and 3 to 5 years of relevant experienceExpertise in data engineering, particularly data design and modelling using data vault and dimensional approaches.Experience in designing, developing and operating large-scale data solutions in distributed and cloud environments.Proficient SQL and Python as well as data processing optimisation practises.Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, Terraform and collaborative development tools, as well as DevOps practises, automation, automated testing and continuous integration and deployment pipelines, an asset.Understand issues related to data quality, governance, security and valuation.
