Java Software Engineer

Overview We are looking for a Java Developer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our new backend products. You will be closely working with other teams (located in Poland and Sweden) on developing new fintech products and services for the biggest players on the financial market, including Mastercard, Visa, PSPs, and Tier 1 banks. Location Łódź, Poland – ul. Gdańska 130 (Stara Drukarnia)We value face-to-face interactions so our team works in a hybrid mode (50%) Responsibilities Developing and maintaining software applications and programs using Java technologiesParticipating in code reviews and following established design standardsWriting clean, efficient, and well-documented codeContributing to technical discussions and providing input on implementation approachesWorking with team members to identify and resolve technical challengesBreaking down user stories into implementable tasks and providing time estimatesCollaborating with the product owner to understand requirements and implement featuresTesting and debugging code to ensure high-quality deliverablesParticipating in agile ceremonies and contributing to team success Required skills minimum 2 years of commercial experience in Java developmentSolid understanding of RESTful APIs and web servicesKnowledge of best practices in application security and secure codingKnowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesHands-on experience in developing payment applications is a huge assetSome experience with Quarkus framework is a huge asset as wellFluent English (spoken) is a must (min.
