Backend Software Engineer – HPC & Data | Contract | London Hybrid ( 3 days onsite) I'm looking for a Backend Software Engineer. This is not a traditional Data Engineer role. The focus is on backend software engineering around large-scale data and HPC infrastructure. What you'll be doing Building backend tools and services around large data setsWorking with database systems and APIsDeveloping and supporting data pipelines and data replicationWorking across AWS and on-premises data centre environmentsDesigning systems for distributed data and compute environmentsWorking with stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into technical solutionsContributing to platform and system designSupporting secure and reliable production systemsParticipating in an on-call rotation Must have: Strong Backend Software Engineering experience preferably with Go / GolangExperience with data pipelines / data managementExperience with databases and APIsExperience working with distributed systemsHPC experienceExperience with AWS and/or on-prem infrastructureExperience with data replicationPlatform/system design experienceSecurity-focused backend or platform development
