Senior Software Engineer

New York, NY | $190K–$200K base + equity We’re working with a fast-growing, consumer-focused subscription business that is investing heavily in the technology powering its customer experience, operations, fulfillment, and continued scale. They’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to own complex systems and features end-to-end, from architecture and development through production operation and long-term maintenance. The role is highly hands-on and suited to an engineer who enjoys working across the frontend, backend, APIs, data models, and infrastructure. What You’ll Do Design, build, and operate scalable production systems.Own technical decisions from initial architecture through deployment and monitoring.Break ambiguous product and business problems into clear, shippable solutions.Design APIs, database schemas, migrations, and system contracts.Diagnose production issues, identify root causes, and improve reliability.Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and other engineering teams.Mentor engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical feedback.Help improve engineering practices, tooling, monitoring, and on-call processes. Tech Environment TypeScript, GraphQL, Temporal, PostgreSQL, AWS, with modern CI/CD, experimentation, feature flags, and progressive deployment practices. What They’re Looking For Approximately 6–8+ years of software engineering experience.Strong full-stack engineering background.Experience building and operating high-impact production systems.Strong understanding of systems design, scalability, APIs, and data modeling.Comfortable taking ownership from problem definition through production.Clear written and verbal communicator who works well cross-functionally.Pragmatic approach to engineering decisions and emerging tools. Compensation $190,000–$200,000 USD base salary + equity and benefits.
