Mission The Quantum Lead Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership across advanced engineering projects in quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum sensing, and related high-tech domains. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical coordination, translating complex physical principles and customer challenges into practical system-level solutions while guiding multidisciplinary teams through concept, design, implementation, integration, testing, and experimental validation. Responsibilities Quantum Technology Leadership Lead technical activities within projects involving quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing technologies.Translate complex quantum and physics-based requirements into clear technical approaches, architectures, and engineering solutions.Provide technical direction on analyses, simulations, experimental activities, and validation strategies. System Design and Engineering Lead system and subsystem design activities across the complete engineering development lifecycle.Take ownership of critical technical topics, technical decisions, interfaces, and performance trade-offs.Guide implementation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure technically robust and functional system solutions. Multidisciplinary Project Execution Coordinate technical collaboration across mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electronics, software, physics, and other specialist disciplines.Work closely with project managers, business developers, customers, and external partners to define technical scope, priorities, and development approaches.Provide technical guidance to engineers within quantum, semiconductor, and other complex physics-driven high-tech projects. Technology and Business Development Contribute to the definition and development of new quantum solutions, internal capabilities, and future technology directions.Support business development activities by providing senior technical expertise during discussions with prospective customers and partners.Help identify, assess, and shape new project opportunities within the evolving quantum technology ecosystem. Required Qualifications MSc or PhD in Physics, Material Science, or a closely related technical discipline.Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within a quantum or quantum-related company.Strong practical understanding of quantum technologies and their application within engineering or product development environments.Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex technical topics and provide technical direction within multidisciplinary projects.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, customers, and other stakeholders.Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.Willingness to support business development activities related to quantum technologies. Preferred Experience Experience in quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum sensing, or related quantum technologies.Experience leading technical workstreams or coordinating engineering activities within complex R&D projects.Experience across multiple stages of the development lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, and experimental validation.Exposure to semiconductor technology or complex physics-driven mechatronic systems.
