DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer (GCP) Location: Cracow, Poland Office Requirement: 6 days/month Contract Type: Long Term B2B Contract About the Role We are looking for a GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer to join an agile team responsible for building, operating and supporting highly resilient, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. The role focuses primarily on the GCP environment, with close collaboration across application, infrastructure, security and other cloud teams. The position is suited to someone with strong hands-on GCP experience, a broad understanding of cloud infrastructure and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities Build, manage and maintain GCP foundation infrastructure supporting application deployments.Design and implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.Configure, deploy and manage common cloud services, including:IAMNetworkingLogging and monitoringOperating systemsContainersHandle operational support tickets through JIRA.Troubleshoot infrastructure and service-related issues.Support incidents and alerts following the onboarding period.Work closely with application and project teams to resolve technical issues and explain cloud services.Ensure infrastructure complies with security, operational risk and regulatory requirements.Follow established Change Management and operational processes.Maintain and update technical and operational documentation.Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate repetitive tasks.Work with engineering teams to implement automation solutions.Collaborate with AWS and Azure teams and gradually develop cross-cloud expertise. Requirements Hands-on experience with GCP infrastructure and services.Broad knowledge of GCP rather than experience limited to a single specialist area.Strong understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code.Practical experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies.Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.Experience with cloud networking, including VPCs and related networking concepts.Understanding of cloud security, IAM, authentication, auditing and monitoring.Experience working with operational and security standards.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with application and cross-functional IT teams.Strong knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language such as:PythonRubyJavaJavaScriptGoGroovyScalaAbility and willingness to learn new technologies and cloud platforms.Experience in a regulated environment is an advantage.
