Fullstack Engineer

Company Founded in Berlin, autarc is a ~75 person start-up who were part of Y Combinator's S24 batch in San Francisco. Our team consists of people in Sales, Tech and Operations, with the Engineering & Product department currently ~25 people, as we continue to grow throughout the year. Role Description You'll join a new squad focused our fastest-growing product area: Services. On top of their monthly subscription, our customers can book additional services through autarc — such as government subsidy applications (e.g. KfW), energy performance certificates, and more. This area is scaling rapidly and we're hiring dedicated engineering capacity to match. Your job is to build and ship new services fast. That means new service types, new country rollouts (such as Italy and the UK), and new workflows — often from zero to live in days, not weeks. We expect you to go all-in on AI-assisted development (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to move at a pace that traditional engineering can't match. Other things you'll do will include: Build and ship end-to-end service workflowsExpand our service offering into new European markets, adapting to local regulations and requirementsShip polished React UIs and interaction-heavy workflows with strong UXIntegrate AI models (Anthropic, OpenAI) to automate service fulfilment like document generation, form pre-filling, validationBuild APIs that connect service data across systems and workflowsPartner closely with Design and Product to deliver features at speed The technologies you will use include: TypeScript, React, Three.jsGo, Node/NestJS, PostgresElectric SQL, RxDB, local-first sync patternsDocker, Fly.io, NATS This is a Fullstack role with a 70/30 split between Frontend and Backend. In order for this to be reduced, the transition towards renewable energy needs to be simplified and made more accessible. There are too few installers to meet the growing demand for heat pumps, and a solution to match this trend needs to be brought to the market. autarc is developing the leading operating system (OS) for heat pump installers, enabling a more digital and efficient installation process for heat pumps. Through this, autarc is reducing the hurdles to decarbonizing single-family homes and small apartment buildings in Europe, with the goal to help with the planning and designing of 1 million heat pumps by 2030.
