As a Senior Engineer, Mechanical, you will be responsible for revising existing designs, generating essential technical documentation, and developing innovative solutions for complex projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from the initial tender phase to providing technical support and even participating in testing and commissioning. You'll be empowered to take ownership of your designs, ensuring they meet cost, time, and quality targets while collaborating with a talented team. This role is part of our Offshore Solution Division. Reporting directly to the Manager, Mechanical and Structural, and based in Gdansk, Poland. More Tasks And Responsibilities Design equipment and its kinematics, according to technical requirements as defined by contract, class rules and MCG standardsProviding technical expertise and documentation to assist in the preparation and submission of tenders for new projectsCreating and maintaining accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including initial calculations, drawings, specifications, and manualsEnsuring that design projects are delivered within the allocated budget and according to the established timelinePerforming a variety of project-related tasks, such as feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical analysesProactively communicating project progress and any potential issues to relevant stakeholders What You’ll Need To Succeed Essential traits for this role include strong communication, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of how design choices influence other disciplines. Ideally you have University degree (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) in Mechanical EngineeringAt least 10 years hands-on experience with mechanical engineering within the marine industryExperience with the products like AHC Cranes, Gangways, AHC Winches and other motion compensated devicesProficient in AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault software will be considered a distinct advantageAnalytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively within teams and inspire othersFluency in both verbal and written English Why MacGregor?
