UI Software Engineer - WPF/.NET Desktop Applications

Responsibilities About the Role We're looking for an experienced WPF GUI Engineer to design and build the user interface for our real-time digital oscilloscope platform. You'll own the software layer responsible for rendering high-speed waveform data, live measurements, and instrument controls on embedded Windows hardware. What You'll Do Design and implement WPF interfaces for real-time waveform display, including live trace rendering, persistence modes, and multi-channel overlaysImplement instrument-control UI: trigger configuration, timebase/voltage scaling, channel setup, cursors, and automated measurements (rise time, frequency, amplitude, etc.)Design UI behavior for deep memory acquisition, waveform decimation/downsampling for display, and zoom/pan across captured recordsBuild touch- and knob/encoder-friendly interfaces for front-panel hardware controls alongside on-screen UIEnsure UI stability and responsiveness during sustained real-time operation (hours/days of continuous capture)Implement MVVM architecture that cleanly separates acquisition data models from rendering and control logic Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience building WPF applications for desktop or embedded Windows environmentsStrong proficiency in C# and .NET, with experience in performance-critical, real-time-adjacent UI codeDeep understanding of MVVM, data binding, dependency properties, and custom control/template development in XAMLSolid grasp of multithreading and producer/consumer patterns for handling continuous data acquisition feeds without blocking the UI threadStrong debugging and profiling skills for latency, frame timing, and memory usage in long-running applications Preferred Qualifications Experience with user interface technologies such as QT or AvaloniaExperience with SciChart graphical softwareFamiliarity with oscilloscope concepts: triggering, sampling theory, FFT/spectral displayExperience with GPU-accelerated rendering (DirectX, SharpDX, Vortice.Windows, or similar)Familiarity with Windows IoT Enterprise or embedded Windows deployment for instrument-grade hardwareExposure to industry-standard remote instrument control protocols (SCPI, VISA, LXI)Experience interfacing with embedded acquisition hardware (FPGA, ADC front-ends, or similar) via shared memory, DMA buffers, or custom drivers Other Information The level of role will be based on applicable experience, education and skills; Most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed below.
