About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team at our Konstanz location. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and enhancing our virtualized infrastructure environments to support software development activities within an air-gapped setting. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes that ensure seamless integration and continuous deployment of software updates. Collaboration is at the core of this position; you will work closely with software development teams and IT specialists to facilitate the smooth integration of new technologies and software releases. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing security measures to safeguard systems and data integrity, as well as creating comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure and operational processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical defense projects, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure in a highly sensitive environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or have relevant professional experience in the DevOps domain. Practical knowledge of container technologies, particularly Docker, is essential. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and principles is highly advantageous. You should have a proven track record with CI/CD tools and pipelines, demonstrating the ability to automate and streamline software deployment processes. Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python and Bash are required, along with solid Linux system administration knowledge. Proficiency in collaboration platforms, version control systems, and development environments is expected. Excellent communication skills in German, both written and spoken, are necessary to effectively coordinate with team members and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be characterized by a responsible and systematic work approach, analytical thinking, creativity, and a collaborative mindset.
