About the role As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will help architect and scale the systems powering the company's real-time logistics and operations. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems and owning technical decisions from architecture through production. You will build backend services that support the company’s web and mobile products, tackling challenges across logistics, routing, automation, scalability, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, product, and operations teams, playing an important role in shaping how the company designs and scales its backend infrastructure as the business grows. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain high-quality backend systems using languages such as Java and GoLead major technical initiatives across vehicle routing optimization, logistics automation, scalability, and reliabilityOwn backend architecture and drive solutions to complex, ambiguous, and high-impact problemsBuild and scale core APIs, services, and data stores that support the company’s products and operationsEstablish best practices around testing, monitoring, observability, reliability, and system performancePartner with product and engineering leadership to translate technical priorities into quarterly roadmapsCollaborate closely with frontend, mobile, product, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsMentor other engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration Ideal Candidate 5 to 8 years of experience in backend engineering rolesProficiency in Java, Go, and distributed systemsExperience with APIs and data storesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex systemsAbility to lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers Next steps 1.
