Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an Project Contract Manager - Bridges Engineering to work with our client Main Roads WA in Northam.
This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity, working 42.5 hours per week, supporting the development, procurement and delivery of bridge infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
We're seeking qualified civil engineers who enjoy taking ownership of projects from concept through to construction.
You'll be responsible for managing project development activities, coordinating design inputs, engaging with stakeholders and overseeing procurement and delivery activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project objectives.
Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this role offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Managing the development and delivery of bridge infrastructure projects from planning through to constructionPreparing project scopes and design briefs while coordinating consultants and design activitiesLeading stakeholder engagement, consultation and project coordination activitiesManaging environmental, heritage, land and utility service investigations and approvalsCoordinating procurement activities, including preparation of tender documentation and contractor engagementManaging contracts during delivery to ensure compliance with project requirements, budgets and schedulesMonitoring project performance and proactively managing risks, issues and opportunitiesBuilding and maintaining strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, clients and key stakeholdersSupporting financial management activities including forecasting, budget monitoring and reportingContributing to the successful delivery of bridge replacement and infrastructure improvement projects
What you will bring to the team:
Degree-qualified Civil Engineer3-8 years' experience in civil engineering, infrastructure delivery, project management or contract management environmentsDemonstrated experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects through development and delivery phasesSound understanding of project and contract management principles and practicesExperience managing consultants, contractors and project stakeholdersExposure to bridge, road, transport or civil infrastructure projectsStrong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to coordinate multiple project activities, priorities and technical inputsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience managing project budgets, schedules and financial performance
Highly regarded
Experience delivering bridge replacement or bridge rehabilitation projectsExperience with Main Roads WA or similar government infrastructure programsExperience in procurement, tendering and contract administrationCPEng status or progression towards chartership
