As a Junior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be instrumental in directly engaging with accounting firm partners, deploying and customising to seamlessly integrate disparate tooling and automate complex audit methodologies. This unique role blends software engineering, solutions architecture, and client-facing consulting, allowing you to adapt our partner's AI-native platform to real-world client needs. You will directly influence the product roadmap by translating client insights into actionable feedback for the core engineering team. Responsibilities: - Deploy and customise the AI-native platform for accounting firm clients, integrating fragmented tools. - Design and implement API integrations with various financial systems like CCH, Suralink, and QuickBooks. - Develop solutions for ingesting, parsing, and normalising inconsistent financial data from diverse sources. - Apply LLM application development techniques, including prompting and structured output generation. - Contribute to agentic systems and tool-use frameworks for audit automation. - Implement RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) over client document corpora. - Gather client feedback and insights to directly influence the core product roadmap. Requirements: - Solid foundational software engineering skills, preferably with Python proficiency. - Experience or strong interest in API integration for business systems. - Understanding of data engineering principles: ingestion, parsing, and normalisation. - Exposure to large language models (LLMs) and their application development. - Ability to handle unstructured data (PDFs, spreadsheets) and convert to structured formats. - Natural aptitude for client interaction and building professional relationships. - Eagerness to quickly learn and adapt to a regulated domain like accounting or audit.
