Infrastructure Lead

Infrastructure Lead - Interim – 12 Months – Remote but UK based. You will need to have operated in a senior role with accountability for significant resources. Key Deliverables: Infrastructure baseline and immediate stabilisation actions agreed, including critical risks, service ownership, supplier accountabilities, team structure, operating priorities and decisions required. Highest-risk issues contained and named owners assigned.Full infrastructure stabilisation and recovery roadmap agreed, with priority actions delivered, technical standards and governance in place, supplier performance reset, and clear plans for resilience, vulnerability, capacity and obsolescence.Drive delivery of the agreed roadmap at pace, resolve structural risks, simplify the infrastructure estate and supplier landscape, improve operational performance, build internal capability and transfer ownership against agreed milestones. You will: Lead the design and mobilisation of the infrastructure pillar and its supplier interfaces.Establish ownership and lifecycle control for cloud, hosting, servers, storage, backup, network, connectivity, EUC and core identity platforms.Operate technical security controls in line with CISO policy and assurance requirements.Improve resilience, recovery, vulnerability, capacity and obsolescence management.Develop internal capability and progressively transfer technical ownership. You will need to be able to demonstrate the following experience to be considered for this work: Senior infrastructure leadership experience in complex, supplier-dependent environments.Broad and deep knowledge of cloud, hosting, networks, identity, EUC, resilience, security operations and OT.Full Infrastructure lifecycles, including decommissionThe ability to personally produce/review technical standards, roadmaps, risk plans, decision papers and knowledge documents.Strong incident leadership and supplier-management capability.The ability to balance immediate stabilisation with longer-term simplification and improvement.Working with international teams, time zones, multi-language, work council environmentsLarge supplier estateC-suite reportingStrong relationship builder at all levels of the organisation - Ideally you will have worked in environments that have had M&A activity or are PE backed but these are not essential requirements. Working in sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, utilities. telecoms will again be helpful when it comes to the Operational Technology element.
