Full Stack Engineer

Your Role We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, build and maintain modern cloud-native applications and data-driven solutions. The role spans responsive front-end development, resilient back-end microservices, data workflows and cloud platforms. The successful candidate will apply secure engineering practices, produce high-quality documentation, work independently and collaborate with global technical and non-technical teams. AI-assisted engineering tools should be used responsibly to improve delivery speed and code quality. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, test and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern web, data and cloud technologies.Develop intuitive front-end experiences and robust back-end microservices that support graph-enabled and master data use cases.Implement API-first, event-driven and data integration patterns appropriate to the solution.Build containerised and serverless applications with appropriate resilience, performance and maintainability.Contribute to technical design decisions and translate agreed designs into quality working software.Build and maintain cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and established engineering standards.Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated tests and deployment controls.Deploy and support container workloads on Kubernetes and apply GitOps practices where appropriate.Implement effective logging, monitoring, alerting and operational support practices.Apply Secure by Design principles throughout the software development lifecycle.Produce clean, maintainable, well-tested code and consistent technical documentation.Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, coding, testing and documentation while retaining human review and accountability.Work independently with minimal oversight, communicate delivery risks early and collaborate across locations and time zones.Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and maintain delivery artefacts in JIRA and Confluence.Contribute to change, incident and problem management activities when required. Your Profile Skills and Experience: Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or comparable solutions.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana or CloudWatch.Experience with graph technologies such as Neo4j or BigQuery Graph.Exposure to Angular, Next.js, Vue.js, Java, Go or dbt.Experience integrating with Google Cloud services such as Cloud Storage and BigQuery.Practical experience with GitOps delivery practices.Relevant experience in financial services, including banking, funds management, wealth management or investment management.Strong understanding of Master Data Management principles, data quality and enterprise data governance.Typically 5 to 10 years of relevant full-stack engineering experience.Strong problem-solving, written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to deliver quality outcomes independently with minimal oversight.Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and using JIRA and Confluence.Strong risk management mindset and understanding of change, incident and problem management.Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders globally.Ability to work from the Sydney office three days per week and flex working hours when reasonably required for global collaboration.
