Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a back-end-first full stack profile. In practice, this means strong backend depth combined with the ability to contribute across the stack when a feature requires end-to-end ownership. Most work sits in APIs, business logic, integrations, data access, and asynchronous processing, with frontend contributions in React and TypeScript where needed. Tasks You will cooperate in a modular Azure-hosted platform using .NET 9 / C# 13, React 18, TypeScript, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, Azure Storage Queues, SignalR, and an Ocelot API gateway. Many changes in GVRT cross multiple layers, so we are looking for someone who can reason about end-to-end impact, collaborate effectively within an established architecture, and deliver reliable production-ready solutions. As a Senior Engineer, you will be expected to own substantial pieces of work from design to production, contribute to technical decisions, raise the quality bar in code reviews, and support less experienced engineers. Prior experience in tax technology is not required, but you should be comfortable learning complex business rules and translating them into robust software. Must-have • Strong current .NET / C# backend experience in production enterprise systems • Solid experience with SQL Server or another comparable relational database • Experience building and operating HTTP APIs, integrations, and asynchronous or queue-based processing in production • Working experience with Azure-hosted applications • Ability to contribute across backend and React / TypeScript frontend when a feature requires end-to-end ownership • Track record of owning features through delivery, production support, and code review • Strong technical communication and ability to contribute to design discussions • Fluent English communication skills.
