Role Overview We are seeking a talented Software Developer in Test to join our Development Team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of the bank’s digital solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern testing tools and methodologies in an agile environment, contributing to the delivery of scalable, high-quality, and innovative digital products shaping the future of banking services. Duties and responsibilities: Maintain and continuously build upon and improve our automation testing frameworksDevelop internal tools to facilitate the duties and work performed by the QA TeamIntegrate automated tests with our CI/CD pipelines to execute both on demand and nightly testsIdentify automation gaps, plan, and delegate work to the QA Automation EngineersHighlight, develop and execute performance tests as necessaryContribute to the team’s roadmap tasks to upkeep the quality, reputability, and reliability of our productsMonitor test executions, review test run results, and propose improvements in a timely mannerImplement reporting and necessary integrations to translate test results into business readable formDesign test plans and develop automated tests to expand on the existing test repositoryWork with the developers to ensure component level tests are being implemented and reviewed correctlyDefine the automation roadmap and collaborate with the team to address areas of improvement or coverage Required knowledge, skills and experience: University degree in Computer Science or relevant field.At least 2 years of experience in QA or similar rolesIndustry knowledge of using API testing clients such as Postman, Jmeter, Bruno or SoapUIUsing code repository and revisioning tools such as Git or SVNScripting languages such as JS/Typescript/GroovyscriptAbility to navigate through service/API logs and perform troubleshooting and root cause analysisStrong communication skills and approachable personalityKnowledge of trading, financial instruments, and/or banking experience will be considered a major assetExperience with issue tracking tools such as Jira and test tracking tools such as Testrail or XrayWorking with databases such as MSSQL, PostGres or OraDBExperience with REST/XML micro-service and event driven architecturesExperience using CI/CD platforms such as GoCD, Jenkins, Github/Gitlab actionsWorking experience with OOP development languages such as C# or JavaAt least 3 years of experience in a software development or automation role Our Package At MeDirect, we believe that our people are our greatest strength, which is why we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being, growth, and overall experience.
