Job Summary Seeking a Software Engineer to support a software development effort using Java as the primary programming languageThe team operates in an Agile development environment to assign, track, and manage software activities and requirementsThis position provides an opportunity to expand Java development skills while working with modern technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFacesThe ideal candidate is a collaborative software engineer who can contribute across design, development, installation, testing, and quality activities in support of mission requirements Primary Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications using JavaParticipate in Agile software development activities, including requirements analysis, task planning, implementation, testing, and status trackingDesign and implement complex algorithms while adhering to strict timing, system resource, and interface constraintsPerform quality control reviews of software products developed by the teamImplement recommendations for improving software documentation and development process standardsCollaborate with team members and the customer to derive software requirements and understand project limitations, system capabilities, performance requirements, and interfacesDevelop and maintain software that meets documented technical and operational requirementsCoordinate software system installation activitiesMonitor system and equipment functions to ensure operational specifications are metSupport troubleshooting, software integration, and problem resolution activitiesDevelop and maintain technical and software documentationParticipate in peer reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement activities Required Qualifications Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope PolygraphSeven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or universityFour (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for the bachelor’s degreeExperience designing or implementing complex algorithms with timing, resource, or interface constraintsExperience performing software quality control or peer review activitiesExperience supporting software installation, integration, and operational validationExperience working with customers or technical stakeholders to derive and refine software requirements Desired Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following is highly desired:JavaQuarkusPrimeFacesDatabase application developmentSQLQuery developmentPostgreSQLElasticsearch aggregations Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The Pay Range For This Role Is 110,000 - 155,000 USD per year(NBP)
