Description
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer in Luxembourg with strong experience in Java/J2EE, Angular, GWT and Spring.
A key focus of the role is the migration and rewrite of an existing Google Web Toolkit (GWT) application to the latest version of Angular, while continuing to develop and support enterprise Java applications.
European candidates are welcome to apply and should be willing to relocate to Luxembourg if they are not already based in the area.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Migrate and rewrite an existing GWT application to Angular, ensuring performance, maintainability and development best practices;Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and Spring technologies;Analyse requirements and work with analysts to clarify functional specifications;Prepare technical specifications in line with development standards and quality requirements;Develop unit and integration tests, including test suites and test plans;Support application deployment, configuration and production environments;Investigate and resolve application issues, including 3rd-level support;Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and collaborate with international and multicultural teams.
Profile
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field;8+ years of professional software development experience;Strong experience with Java/J2EE, including Java 7, 8 and 11;Strong experience with Angular and Google Web Toolkit (GWT);Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring JMS;Strong knowledge of JPA and caching mechanisms;Good knowledge of Oracle 11g/18 and relational databases;Knowledge of software design patterns, UML and software development lifecycle methodologies used in large-scale organizations;Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience developing large-scale Web 2.0 applications using J2EE technologies would be an advantage.
Knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2 would also be beneficial.
