About The Role We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the ongoing development of our HR platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust Java-based backend services, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, UX designers, and fellow developers. Your expertise will help shape the architecture of our platform, ensuring it meets high standards for performance, scalability, and maintainability. You will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into efficient technical solutions, participating in architecture discussions, and driving continuous improvements in our development processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative, and passionate about creating high-quality software that delivers real value to users. Qualifications Several years of professional experience in backend development using Java and Spring Framework.Strong knowledge of Spring Data/JPA and Spring Security.Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and Hibernate ORM.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Hands-on experience with build tools like Maven and continuous integration systems, particularly Jenkins.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.Enjoyment of working in agile teams and participating in technical decision-making processes.Excellent communication skills in German and English, with an openness to integrating AI tools into development workflows.Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend architectures. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Java and Spring-based backend services, from initial technical planning to deployment.Collaborate with Product Owners and development colleagues to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.Design and optimize system architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and ease of maintenance.Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure high code quality and reliability.Document technical designs, processes, and code to facilitate team understanding and future maintenance.Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions.Identify opportunities for process improvements and incorporate best practices into the development lifecycle.Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute ideas for product enhancement and innovation.
