About The Role Zenovo is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer to join its dynamic engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of technically challenging projects, from initial concept through to commissioning and ongoing support. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing integrated hardware and software solutions tailored to complex engineering applications across multiple sectors. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to deliver innovative and reliable systems. The position requires extensive travel across the UK to install, commission, and support systems at customer sites, making adaptability and excellent communication skills essential. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience in developing industrial control, automation, or measurement systems is essential, along with a solid understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition hardware. Candidates should demonstrate competence in capturing technical requirements and producing comprehensive engineering documentation. Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues are critical. Excellent communication skills are necessary to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams. A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the UK (approximately 50%) are required. Responsibilities Deliver engineering projects throughout the entire system lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final commissioning.Design, develop, and implement data acquisition, control, and automation systems tailored to client specifications.Program efficient control and data acquisition applications using appropriate software tools.Create intuitive graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to enhance user interaction and system usability.Select suitable instrumentation and measurement hardware to meet project requirements and customer expectations.Install, commission, and validate systems at various customer sites across the UK, ensuring operational excellence.Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime.Produce detailed technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and user manuals to support system deployment and maintenance.Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of system components.Support customer meetings, technical presentations, demonstrations, and contribute to proposal development to secure new business opportunities.Participate in system architecture design, technical planning, and project management activities to ensure successful project delivery.
