About The Role As an Azure Engineer at TEKsystems, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, primarily leveraging Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This role requires a deep understanding of full stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies, as well as expertise in cloud architecture, security, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for leading the technical delivery of scalable, resilient, and secure applications, ensuring they meet high standards of observability and reliability. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud-native tools and practices, influencing technical strategies and mentoring engineering teams to adopt best practices. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in senior engineering or lead roles, with a strong background in Java, Python, and React. Proven expertise in deploying and managing workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is essential, along with a solid understanding of containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Bicep, and modern identity management protocols such as OAuth2 and OIDC. A good understanding of security, reliability, and operational best practices within enterprise environments is also required. Additional qualifications include familiarity with Azure services like ACR, Key Vault, Log Analytics, and API Management, as well as experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing technical direction. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of full stack applications, including React (TypeScript) front-end interfaces and Java/Python back-end services, focusing on microservices architecture and API development.Design and own cloud-native solutions on AKS, establishing service boundaries, resilience patterns, scaling strategies, and deployment methodologies to ensure operational readiness and high availability.Develop and maintain back-end services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI/Flask), ensuring performance optimization, security, and API standards compliance.Create modern, accessible user interfaces with React, emphasizing reusable components, efficient state management, and best practices in front-end development.Manage Kubernetes deployments on AKS, including configuration of manifests, ingress controllers, autoscaling, secrets management, and service-to-service communication.Implement DevSecOps practices by designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, integrating automated testing, security scans, and dependency checks to ensure code quality and security.Enhance observability by establishing logging, metrics, and tracing solutions, setting up alerts, defining SLOs and SLIs, and leading incident management activities to ensure production stability.Embed security by design principles, including threat modeling, role-based access control, secrets management via Azure Key Vault, and modern identity protocols.Mentor and coach engineering teams through code reviews, technical guidance, and standards enforcement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, QA, and platform teams to plan and execute delivery, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.Define technical strategies, balancing rapid delivery with long-term maintainability and sustainability, and advocating for best practices across teams.Promote an inclusive engineering culture that values diverse viewpoints, encourages innovation, and supports professional development.Take ownership of delivery commitments and production stability, focusing on root cause analysis and implementing lasting solutions rather than temporary fixes.Streamline processes by removing blockers, automating repetitive tasks, and simplifying complex workflows to enable high-quality software delivery.
