About The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in supporting the migration of a business-critical application from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. Working closely with the Lead Technical Architect, the successful candidate will be responsible for building, migrating, testing, and supporting Azure infrastructure to ensure a secure, resilient, and operationally ready platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong background in cloud migration and Azure services to contribute to a high-profile project in a dynamic environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, industry certifications, and practical experience, including: Proven experience in Azure cloud migration projectsStrong knowledge of Azure Infrastructure components such as compute, storage, and landing zonesExperience with Azure Networking and Hybrid Connectivity solutionsFamiliarity with Entra ID / Identity & Access ManagementUnderstanding of Azure Security best practicesKnowledge of Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery strategiesProficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or equivalentExperience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelinesSkills in Monitoring, Logging, and Operational SupportExperience working within regulated or mission-critical environmentsRelevant Azure certifications are highly desirable Responsibilities The Azure Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to: Supporting discovery, technical assessment, and detailed migration planningBuilding and configuring Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking componentsImplementing security controls and identity management solutions within AzureEstablishing and maintaining operational services such as monitoring, logging, and alertingManaging migration activities, including cutover and rollback procedures to minimize downtimeConducting resilience, backup, and disaster recovery testing to ensure system robustnessTroubleshooting infrastructure and migration issues promptly and effectivelyProducing comprehensive technical documentation and operational handover materialsCollaborating closely with architects, Microsoft teams, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle Benefits This role offers a competitive day rate of 428.40 outside IR35 and the flexibility of remote working, with occasional meetings in London.
