Solar Design Engineer

ersg are working with a leading EPC Contractor in the Renewable Energy sector to hire a Power Systems Specialist focused on Design. The client operates across the European market but is growing their UK team, and is winning more business across the Utility-Scale Solar (20MW or above) sector. This role will see the successful candidate designing LV and HV systems for Solar projects; handling SLDs from beginning to final design. You will also be managing grid connection applications, and liaising with the DNO, whilst ensuring grid compliance to G99 and G100 standards. You will also be instrumental in the specification of related plant (transformers, switchgear etc.) and supporting during various stages of the project - from procurement to commissioning. Candidates MUST have a degree in Electrical Engineering, or a suitable field. Be able to demonstrate their experience in LV & HV system design, and have been involved in a portfolio of Utility-Scale Solar projects in the UK. You should also have a grasp of managing grid connection processes, and experience of grid studies. Applicants MUST be able to prove that they have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
