About The Role Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility for part or full-time candidates, this role is outside IR35. The successful candidate must be able to obtain DBS clearance if required. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Service Cloud Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This position involves configuring the Oracle Service Cloud platform, creating and managing custom fields and objects, developing business processes, and supporting customer service operations. The role requires a blend of technical development and system configuration expertise to deliver scalable and efficient customer service solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Oracle Service Cloud development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to meet business requirements. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience. Certifications in Oracle Service Cloud are highly desirable and will be considered an asset. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of system configuration, development, and integration within Oracle Service Cloud. Experience working within Agile delivery environments and familiarity with database design, SQL, and data migration processes will strengthen candidacy. Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business needs.Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support customer service workflows.Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline operations.Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.Support data management activities, including data imports, exports, and maintaining data integrity.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for future reference and compliance.Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure quality standards are met.Ensure all solutions adhere to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies.
