Senior AI Cloud Engineer

AI Cloud Engineer Essential: Baseline Clearance Type: Contract Duration: 12 months (with possible extension) Location: CBD in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne Hybrid working environment (after initial 2 weeks in the office) We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Cloud Engineer with a background in software development to design, build and operate secure, scalable AI/ML and Generative AI platforms across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments. Key Skills 5+ years' AI Engineering experience delivering enterprise AI/ML solutions.Expertise in Kubernetes, MLOps, Python, Linux, Docker/Podman and Platform Engineering.Experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, model serving, Hugging Face and AI agents.Strong DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code capability.Experience with AWS and/or Azure AI services.Knowledge of security, governance, observability, FinOps and regulated environments.Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and support AI/ML platforms and cloud-native applications.Lead solution design, software development, deployment and operational support.Drive AI workload migrations, platform optimisation and automation initiatives.Collaborate with architecture, security, data and engineering teams to establish platform standards and governance.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert technical advice.Deliver secure-by-design solutions using reusable patterns and Infrastructure as Code.Contribute to project delivery, risk management, innovation and continuous improvement.
