Overview We are seeking a full-time Software Engineering Intern at our location in Montgomery, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for learning and training to develop software for Garmin's communication and navigation products in a team-oriented environment under supervision. Essential Functions Learn to develop software in C#/.net/typescript and/or React or other selected languages for Garmin communication and navigation products in accordance with Garmin’s software development methodology with guidanceLearn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzersLearn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activitiesLearn to perform maintenance activities for products already in production in addition to new product software designAssociates are expected to integrate, use, and provide feedback on products in development when possible as part of their normal job responsibilities Basic Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a field relevant to perform the essential functions of this job descriptionExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMust possess relevant experience and/or training in languages such as C#/.net/typescript and/or React Must possess relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object-oriented design methodology relevant to Garmin’s business needs Desired Qualifications Relevant experience and/or training in a backend environment Relevant experience in Restful API's or PostmanOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)Previous experience working in a team environment Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
