About the Opportunity: The DATA ENGINEER I is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data-centric applications and pipelines that support critical healthcare workflows. This role ensures the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of the enterprise data platform, automating and monitoring data pipelines, resolving incidents, and collaborating with multiple teams. The position plays a vital role in delivering accurate and timely data, which underpins strategic initiatives and operational decisions. Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable data pipelines and transformation processes.Automate and monitor batch and streaming ELT/ETL pipelines using cloud services and Snowflake.Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis and post-mortems to reduce mean time to recovery.Manage orchestration schedules and dependencies with tools like Ctrl-M and data connectors such as Fivetran and HVR.Build operational automation using SQL, Python, and shell scripting on Linux.Implement observability features including logging, alerting, data-quality checks, audits, and runbooks.Optimize Snowflake performance and manage costs.Enforce access controls and secrets management to support compliance and audits.Collaborate with product and analytics teams; document procedures and provide on-call support within a rotational schedule. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Minimum one year of experience with Snowflake, CTRL-M, and Azure Data Factory.Strong skills in SQL, Python, and shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell) on Linux.Experience with cloud computing and data warehousing on relational platforms.Solid understanding of OLAP/dimensional modeling and RDBMS fundamentals.Knowledge of semi-structured data formats (JSON/Parquet) and API integrations.Familiarity with open-source ELT/ETL tools.Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD for data deployments.Ability to build and manage data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources into cloud platforms.Working knowledge of Snowflake database objects, warehouses, and query optimization. Pay Range and Compensation Package: Salary ranges vary by location, for example, in Northern California: $52.79 to $81.94 per hour.Placement within the range depends on relevant experience and other factors.Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, premiums, incentives, or bonuses.
