Title - Lead Software Engineer Type - Contract Location - Remote The Senior Software Development Engineer will serve as a key technical resource across these initiatives, helping define system design and long-term architecture while remaining hands-on throughout implementation. Key Responsibilities Lead system design and architecture for new customer-facing application capabilities and supporting servicesTranslate evolving product and business requirements into scalable technical solutionsDesign long-term engineering solutions that replace or reduce manual trial processesDevelop and integrate functionality within existing application environmentsDesign services supporting customer enrollment, feedback collection, consent management, and related workflowsBuild and integrate backend services and APIsSupport web-based experiences and webviews integrated within an applicationDesign solutions connecting customer-facing experiences with supporting backend systems and servicesPartner with engineering, product, and program stakeholders to refine requirementsProvide technical direction to other engineers and support implementation against established system designsContribute hands-on throughout development, testing, integration, and deploymentOperate effectively in an evolving environment where requirements and functionality will continue to develop Core Qualifications 5–7+ years of professional software development experienceStrong system design and software architecture experienceExperience designing and building scalable applications or distributed systemsStrong experience developing and integrating REST APIs or similar backend servicesExperience connecting front-end/application experiences with backend systemsExperience working within modern application or web application environmentsAbility to independently own technical problems from design through deliveryStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and product teamsDemonstrated ownership and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments Preferred Experience with webviews, embedded web experiences, or functionality integrated within mobile applicationsExperience building customer-facing applications at scaleExperience with cloud-based architectures and servicesExperience mentoring or providing technical direction to other engineersExperience with customer enrollment, experimentation, beta programs, surveys, feedback platforms, consent management, or similar workflowsExperience building systems that support AI/ML-related data collection or workflows
