Lead Hardware Engineer

Your role Capgemini Engineering are seeking to appoint a Hardware Systems engineer to work on safety critical, defence related projects. You will operate in a project environment working with our team to design an end-to-end hardware/software system. In this role you will play a key role in: Liaise closely with our clients to develop system requirements for safety related/critical, real-time, embedded systems.Allocate functional and safety requirements between hardware and software.Support project safety engineers in hardware hazard analyses and identify mitigations.Develop system hardware architectures and system safety arguments. Support activities surrounding EMC qualification and environmental certification. Your profile Essential Degree qualified in a relevant subject and Chartered Engineer status.10+ years’ experience in the full development lifecycle (requirements to manufacture) of hardware for safety critical, embedded software defence systems.A current SC clearance or willingness to apply.Experience in formal methods and/or rigorous design notations such as SCADE.A good appreciation of safety engineering, reliability engineering and security considerations.Strong customer facing and interpersonal skills Desirable Knowledge and/or appreciation of ADA and/or SPARKAbility to lead small teams of up to 5 people.
