Full Stack Software Engineer - AI 6-Month Contract | Melbourne | Immediate Start We're partnering with a large enterprise organisation building a new AI capability focused on developing agentic solutions that improve staff productivity. We're looking for two experienced Full Stack Software Engineers who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience designing and building AI-driven solutions. This is not a Data Engineering role. You'll be expected to build complete software solutions around AI capability, including the application layer, integrations and user experience. What you'll be doing Design and build agentic AI solutions from concept through to working prototypeDevelop full-stack applications with a clean, business-focused user experienceBuild backend services primarily using Python and frontend applications using ReactWork with platforms such as AWS Bedrock and Google Cloud's agent capabilitiesDetermine when to use deterministic workflows versus LLM-driven decision makingTake ownership of technical design, architecture and deliveryWork autonomously in a fast-moving environment where requirements will continue to evolveClearly communicate technical decisions with technical and business stakeholders What we're looking for Strong commercial software engineering or full-stack development experienceHands-on experience building GenAI or agentic AI solutionsStrong Python development experienceExperience with React or similar modern frontend technologiesExposure to AWS Bedrock and/or GCP AI / Agent platformsStrong understanding of software architecture, APIs and enterprise application developmentComfortable using AI coding tools while still being able to fully understand, explain and own the code producedStrong communication skills and the ability to work independentlyWe're particularly interested in strong software engineers who have moved into Applied AI / GenAI and can demonstrate solutions they have personally designed and built.
