The Opportunity
Mott MacDonald is seeking a Client Director to lead and develop the continued growth and development of our Transport & Major Infrastructure portfolio in Western Australia.
This is a senior leadership appointment responsible for shaping client strategy, growing key accounts, winning major opportunities and leading high-performing teams in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
The Client Director role offers the opportunity to influence some of Western Australia's most significant infrastructure investments while leveraging the depth of Mott MacDonald's national and global expertise.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence across rail, roads, aviation, ports and broader infrastructure markets.
Client Directors are responsible for driving sustainable growth through strategic client leadership, market engagement, project governance and business performance, while fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic client engagement plans: Grow trusted relationships with government agencies, asset owners, contractors and private sector clients.Shape strategy: Develop tactical strategies aligned to the Transport and broader Western Australian business objectives, adaptive to a transforming market.Win work: Lead pursuits and proposals, securing major projects and programs aligned with Mott MacDonald's values and sales targets.Lead delivery: Act as Project Director on key projects, delivering quality professional services that enhance the firm's reputation.Build deep relationships: Foster long-term connections across all levels of client organisations, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their business and strategic goals.Drive market strategy: Collaborate with Australian Market Leads to shape client engagement strategies aligned to client priorities and emerging opportunities.Collaborate globally: Use the Mott MacDonald global network to build relationships and lead effective teams across projects and locations, supporting professional development and knowledge sharing.Manage quality and risk: Maintain current knowledge of professional standards and innovation, and ensure safety, constructability and compliance across project design and delivery.Grow talent: Recruit, coach and mentor professionals with strong client engagement skills to build a resilient, future-ready team.
About You
You are a recognised leader within the Western Australian infrastructure market with a strong network across government and industry.
You have a proven track record of building trusted client relationships, winning major projects and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes.
You will be comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with strategic account leadership.
Experience: Demonstrated leadership in a project environment, with sound business development and stakeholder management experience.Qualifications: Role-relevant tertiary qualifications, with chartership where relevant to your profession.Leadership: A track record motivating teams through uncertainty, casting a compelling vision, and retaining great people.Commercial acumen: Commercially agile, with the ability to identify and mitigate risk.Communication: Clear, confident communicator, written and verbal.
