Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities: Includes The Following Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory/management authority Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with nine (9) years of related experience OR Master’s Degree with seven (7) years of related experience. Knowledge and experience developing multi-tiered or microservice applications. Experience with at least one cloud platform. ie. AWS, Azure, Google. Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins). Strong scripting experience. Linux experience. Must be a US Citizen. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods.
