Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Senior Cloud Engineer | Permanent | Melbourne (Hybrid) We’re partnering with a leading Australian organisation to find a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a high-performing team driving enterprise-scale cloud transformation. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys building secure, scalable cloud platforms, leading technical initiatives, and influencing best practice across engineering teams. You’ll work on cloud architecture, automation, governance, cost optimisation and platform engineering initiatives in a modern AWS environment. What you’ll be doing: • Designing, deploying and improving scalable AWS cloud solutions • Building automation using Python and Infrastructure as Code • Driving cloud security, governance and operational excellence • Partnering with engineering, cyber and development teams to deliver enterprise outcomes • Providing technical leadership, mentoring and promoting DevOps best practices What we’re looking for: ✔ Strong AWS experience (5+ years) designing secure, resilient cloud environments ✔ Python development and automation skills ✔ Solid understanding of networking, Internet protocols and distributed systems ✔ Experience with DevOps, Agile delivery and modern engineering practices ✔ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills This is an opportunity to join a business investing heavily in cloud capability, where you’ll have real influence over platform direction, engineering standards and future technology strategy.
