Senior Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to build and operate the cloud and Kubernetes foundations that support our engineering teams. You will create reliable, secure, and easy-to-use platform capabilities, from self-service tools and deployment workflows to networking, observability, and incident response. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you will help developers deliver software with confidence while shaping the platform’s evolution beyond its current DevSecOps focus. What You'll Do: Design, build, and operate cloud and Kubernetes platform capabilities, including cluster provisioning and upgrades, access control, resource quotas, cost governance, high availability, and disaster recovery.Develop self-service platform tools in Go or Python, such as APIs, CLIs, operators, controllers, and automation that simplify common developer workflows.Improve delivery workflows using Infrastructure as Code, GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux, environment management, and canary or blue-green deployments.Integrate security into the development and deployment lifecycle through code and dependency scanning, container scanning, secrets management, image signing, admission controls, and policy as code.Design and troubleshoot networking and runtime components, including CNI, network policies, DNS, TLS, load balancing, service mesh, and traffic between services across cloud or hybrid environments.Build observability for platform services through metrics, logs, traces, service-level objectives, and actionable alerts.Partner with product and engineering teams to understand their needs and improve the developer experience.Participate in a reasonable on-call rotation, lead blameless incident reviews, and follow through on corrective actions.Mentor engineers and help establish platform engineering standards. What We're Looking For: At least 5 years of experience in software, backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering, including building and operating production systems.Strong Go or Python skills, with experience writing maintainable production software.Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure in production, including an understanding of Kubernetes APIs, controllers, scheduling, and the trade-offs involved in running reliable multi-tenant platforms.Strong Linux and TCP/IP fundamentals, including routing, subnetting, NAT, DNS, TLS, L4 and L7 proxying, namespaces, cgroups, systemd, and network troubleshooting.Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, and production deployment workflows.Practical experience integrating security tools and controls into engineering workflows, such as SAST, software composition analysis, image scanning, secrets detection, and policy as code.A product mindset: the ability to turn complex infrastructure capabilities into reliable, usable tools for other engineers.Clear communication skills and sound judgment during incidents.Proficiency in both English and Mandarin as you will need to work closely with Chinese vendors. The role is based fully onsite, requiring your presence in the office.
