Role and Responsibilities You will be a lateral thinker and problem-solver, taking responsibility for decision making for the complete product lifecycle and its impact on environment and community. You’ll have the enthusiasm and ability to change existing product development approaches. Responsibilities include: Ensuring products are holistically considered and linked to the company’s mission and philosophyDetail design of electromechanical assemblies with a broad range of materials, production and finishing knowledge and surface finishing techniquesFast turnaround prototype construction, produced both internally and with contractorsPerforming tolerance stack analyses and technical design reviews (DFM/DFA) to ensure mass-production viability and qualityCommunicating with overseas manufacturers on component and assembly development and product quality expectationsDriving technical root-cause analysis (FMEA) and corrective actions to resolve design and performance issues during developmentMaintaining technical documentation and reporting to stakeholdersFollowing product performance test procedures to ensure the quality and safety of product satisfy regulatory standards and brand expectationsSupporting the development and delivery of the strategic product roadmap in an efficient and timely manner Your Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronic or manufacturing engineering with electromechanical product design experience in both R&D and manufacturing environmentsMinimum 7+ years of hands-on engineering experienceExperience with domestic consumer products in the food or beverage industry a plusEnd-to-end product development experienceMotor driven product design experience - highly desirableStrong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials and manufacturing processes and rapid prototypingProven experience collaborating with cross functional teams, locally and abroad, as well as coordinating with international manufacturing partnersFamiliar with both regional and international safety compliance standardsProficiency in CAD modelling (SolidWorks), mechanical and thermal analysis knowledge - highly desirable Competencies Entrepreneurial spirit with a personal interest in health and wellbeingA proactive problem-solver, with ability to balance strong analytical skills with an appreciation of the creative visionAdvanced communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of the businessThrive within small multidisciplinary groupsAn openminded, creative thinker with the ability to inspire and compliment the global team Benefits Flexible work arrangementsStrong culture of wellbeing and health and wellness community engagementCompetitive salary, super & incentivesInternational travel (average 1 week duration, 4-6 trips per year)Training opportunities
