Technical Product Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to own product management for our phased-array products and lead the delivery of our first product to market. You will bring together electronics, mechanical and software teams, coordinating work across internal engineers, external consultants and manufacturing partners. We welcome applications from experienced technical managers and engineers who have demonstrated strong project management aptitude and are ready to take on a formal product management role. WHAT YOU WILL DO Own the integrated product delivery plan, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources and dependencies from development through to market launch. Maintain product requirements and the delivery roadmap with engineering and commercial stakeholders, agreeing priorities and acceptance criteria that reflect customer needs and technical feasibility. Coordinate electronics, mechanical, software and systems activities across internal teams and external partners, with clear ownership of interfaces and deliverables. Define project gates and milestones, organise design reviews, and confirm readiness against agreed technical evidence and acceptance criteria. Track the critical path, risks and issues, manage changes to scope and priorities, and drive timely resolution of delivery problems. Manage external consultants, joint design manufacturers (JDMs) and contract manufacturers (CMs), including offshore partners, with clear scopes of work and deliverable acceptance. Coordinate prototype builds, integration, verification and manufacturing readiness, ensuring test evidence and outstanding issues inform release decisions. Create and maintain clear project documentation, including plans, requirements, review records, decisions, actions and risk registers. Communicate progress, delivery forecasts and decisions clearly to engineering teams and management, escalating issues early and following through on agreed actions. Drive launch preparation and the handover into production, coordinating manufacturing, test and product documentation with the teams responsible. WHAT YOU WILL BRING Experience leading the delivery of electronics or hardware systems, either as a technical project manager or an engineer with project leadership responsibilities. A practical engineering background and the technical understanding to work effectively across electronics, mechanical and software teams. The ability to build realistic plans, manage dependencies and risks, and maintain momentum across several engineering disciplines. Sound product judgement and the ability to turn customer needs and technical constraints into clear requirements and delivery priorities. A proactive, organised approach, with the confidence to take responsibility, work independently and follow issues through to resolution. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation. The ability to build productive relationships, align internal and external teams, agree clear commitments and follow up on delivery. Willingness to travel to support suppliers, manufacturing partners and project activities. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE The following experience would be extremely valuable, please address it in your application: Technical experience in telecommunications, antennas, cellular or satellite communication products. Mechanical, radome and/or RF knowledge. Taking hardware products through new product introduction, manufacturing readiness, production test and market launch. Working with external engineering consultants, offshore JDMs or CMs, including managing supplier deliverables and production handovers. A degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
