Senior Full Stack Developer / Technical Lead

Position Description CGI is in search of a strong Solution Architect/ Tech Lead/ Sr. Dev. Tech Lead member will serve as technical lead, mentor to the team, work on solutions, designs, builds and work with team to resolve technical blockers. Lead will also interact with client technical stake holders and act as liaison between CGI development team and client application engineering team. Your future duties and responsibilities As a Solution Architect/ Tech Lead, you will: Work in a fast paced cross functional agile (Scrum/SAFe) work environmentDesign and implement application features using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, .Net and related technologies on our AWS frameworkOwn the quality and maintainability of code within assigned applications or servicesRefactor existing functionality to improve performance, security, and scalabilityReview code contributed by other engineers and provide actionable feedbackCommit, branch, merge, and review code using Git.Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects across front‑end, backend, and data layersMaintain clear technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, and operational behaviorCollaborate to resolve production issues, meeting SLA targets and minimizing business impact.Use AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity while retaining accountability for design and outcomesSupport applications in production, including incident response and root cause analysisAnalyze logs, metrics, and alerts using monitoring and observability toolsApply AI‑assisted tools to improve logging, monitoring, and operational insightsParticipate in on‑call rotations and support deployments outside normal work hours when requiredContribute to change management activities, release readiness, and technical trainingCollaborate with business stakeholders and UX/UI teams to translate business needs into technical solutionsProvide technical input on feasibility, trade‑offs, and implementation approachesUse data, user behavior insights, and AI‑assisted analysis tools to refine functionality and user experienceMentor less‑experienced engineers through guidance, reviews, and shared problem solvingStrong written and verbal communication skills as this is front leading role for client Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Mandatory Skills: 9+ years of professional software engineering experience3+ Years of solution design experience2+ Years of leading technical teamStrong hands on experience with: oJavaScript / TypeScript oReact and Python o.Net/ C# oNode.js oGit oKafka/ Microservices/ API/ API Gateway oAgile delivery practices oVisual Studio Experience building, deploying, and supporting applications on AWS, including: oAWS RDS (PostgreSQL), MongoDB Atlas oLambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, and Step Functions oAWS CLI, CloudFront, Security Groups, and Elastic Container Service (ECS) oCI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and cloud based deployments via CloudFormation Practical experience with testing and quality practices, including: oAutomated testing frameworks such as Playwright oCI/testing and test management tools (Jenkins, Zephyr) oPerformance and reliability testing tools (JMeter) Working knowledge of data, BI, and analytics tools, including: oPython and SQL oSqlSever oSnowflake Strong application design skills, with attention to scalability, reliability, and maintainabilityAbility to responsibly leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency, testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis Nice to have: Agentic framework experience or knowledge Finance domain knowledge and working on financial applications Expectations of this role: Ownership mentality for design decisions, code quality, and production stabilityAbility to work independently on complex problems while collaborating effectively with othersStrong problem solving and analytical skillsClear communication with both technical and non technical partnersCommitment to continuous learning and improving engineering practices Other Information: CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $156,700.00.
