Cloud Platform Engineer

About the Role NISH Tech BV is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer for a project within a leading European energy transmission organization. The role is part of a team responsible for developing, implementing and managing cloud and Kubernetes solutions. You will work on building and maintaining automated infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, with a strong focus on Terraform, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation. The position combines hands-on infrastructure engineering, automation, troubleshooting, monitoring and collaboration with business and engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud solutions supporting the energy transition. Project Details Specialization: Azure Cloud, Kubernetes & DevOpsLocation: Namur, BelgiumWork regime: Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week in NamurBrussels: Occasional presence may be requiredOn-call: Participation in standby/on-call duties after the training and onboarding period Key Responsibilities Develop, test, debug and troubleshoot containerized infrastructure.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.Develop and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure within the Azure platform and Kubernetes environment.Monitor system availability, performance, latency and overall health.Troubleshoot issues across development, test and production environments.Collaborate with business and engineering teams to implement new infrastructure solutions.Automate and streamline operational processes while communicating technical risks and status to stakeholders. Mandatory Skills Minimum 3 years of relevant Cloud Platform / DevOps experience.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) / Kubernetes.Strong experience with HashiCorp Terraform, including configurations and modules.Experience with Docker, Helm and ArgoCD.Strong understanding of DevOps, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code.Good knowledge of cloud networking and security, including subnets, routing, load balancing and firewalls.Experience with enterprise-scale IaaS and PaaS environments.Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation and container technologies.Strong scripting skills using Bash, PowerShell, CLI and/or Python.Experience with Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks.Languages English: Fluent / professional working proficiency.French, Dutch and/or German: A plus.Soft Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.Hands-on and pragmatic approach to technical challenges.Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.Customer and business-oriented mindset.Strong communication and presentation skills.Comfortable documenting and validating technical processes.Continuous learner with an interest in new technologies.Able to simplify complex solutions and deliver practical approaches. Additional Assets Knowledge of OpenTofu or Bicep.Experience with Ansible.Knowledge of cloud landing zones and Well-Architected Framework principles.Experience with cloud logging, monitoring and observability, such as Grafana and Prometheus.Experience with cloud-native security and policy-as-code.Azure certification is a plus.
