In the role of a Senior Software Engineer, we'll count on you to: Duties include working in a professional environment with a national team of developers, geospatial analysts, engineers, scientists, business analysts, and plannersThe ability to take on critical development efforts from beginning to end delivering high quality software on time and budgetSuccessful candidates will be able to plan and design software solutions as well as develop and deliver highly functional software needed to support project goalsAbility to assess and self-assign development tasks based upon project requirements under the direction of the Lead Developer and lead moderate to complex development tasks from planning through delivery providing professional quality solutions within budget and schedulePerforms code reviews and provides feedback as to its quality, structure and improvement, continuous improvement of technical and non-technical skillsets to progress in solution planning and development capability Provide mentoring to less experienced developers to help build up the AppDev Team Communication. Ability to share your ideas and work with other developers in a collaborative environmentProblem solving. Knowing how to make a task easier, more maintainable and stableCuriosity. Knowing what's on the horizon in web and mobile development and when to use itAdaptability. Able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologiesAbility to manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlinesUnderstanding and application of the agile development lifecycle Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 6 year' experience in software developmentExperience with agile development practices through JiraNET Full stack experienceJavaScript (including ES6), HTML, and CSS(SASS/LESS)Responsive web design and UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)JavaScript frameworks (Ember, React, etc.)Experience with server-side technologies (.NET, NodeJS, etc.)RESTful web servicesCloud computingUnit testing and continuous integration and deploymentEsri (ArcGIS Server/Enterprise (10.6+), Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online; development and management, publishing web or feature services, and creating SDE enabled databases Required Qualifications Bachelor degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 5 years practical web & application development experience GIS development experience desired An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
