Job Title: Associate Environment Engineer - Oracle Platforms Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid) Duration: Contract to hire Fresh local Graduates – Associate role Purpose of the Job: This entry-level position supports the administration, integration, deployment, security, and continuous improvement of Oracle Cloud and DevOps environments. The associate will work with experienced engineers and application teams to learn enterprise cloud practices Major Duties and responsibilities: OCI Infrastructure & Cloud Administration Assist with provisioning, configuration, documentation, and routine administration of Dev, QA, UAT, and PROD environments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Support services such as IAM, SSO, database services, OKE, OIC, VBCS, API Gateway, networking, compute, scalability, and cost optimization. Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Development & CI/CD Management Support the development, testing, and maintenance of basic integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). Assist with REST/SOAP APIs, adapters, mappings, orchestrations, and deployment documentation. Use Git-based version control and established automation pipelines for OIC artifacts using Git-based version control and automation tools. Manage deployment lifecycles across Dev, QA, UAT, and PROD environments using OIC export/import APIs and scripts. Oracle Fusion ERP Administration & Deployment Support Provide entry-level administration, testing, documentation, and user support for Oracle Fusion ERP, EPM, and FDI. Assist with sandbox configurations, scheduled deployments, quarterly update testing, issue triage, and release coordination for approved configurations, quarterly update testing. Coordinate release management for Fusion customizations, extensions, and configurations across environments. OCI Security & Compliance Follow OCI security standards and assist with access reviews, IAM policies, security lists, network security groups, encryption, audit logging, vulnerability remediation, and compliance evidence. Escalate security concerns through established procedures. Oracle Cloud Strategy & Transformation Participate in cloud modernization initiatives by researching OCI capabilities, documenting options, testing solutions in controlled environments, and recommending improvements with support from senior team members. Contribute to knowledge articles, runbooks DevOps Strategy & Transformation Support CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and automation initiatives. Participate in Agile ceremonies, follow SDLC and change-management processes, and collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, data, and vendor teams. Build skills in DevOps Education and Experience: Required: • Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field. • 0 to 1 year of professional experience. Internships, co-op assignments, capstone projects, labs, hackathons, and relevant academic or personal projects are valued. • Interest in cloud computing, enterprise applications, systems administration, integration, automation, or DevOps. Knowledge and skill level: Required: • Foundational understanding of cloud concepts, networking, operating systems, databases, and software development life cycle principles. • Basic exposure to SQL and at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, or JavaScript. • Familiarity with Git or another version-control system through coursework or projects. • Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, web services, and system integration concepts. • Ability to analyze problems, learn new technologies, document work clearly, and follow established technical and security procedures. • Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and time-management skills. Preferred, Not Required: • Coursework or hands-on projects involving OCI, AWS, Azure, Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion, OIC, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, or monitoring tools. • Exposure to data migration or integration tools such as FBDI, ADFDi, ODI, MuleSoft, or comparable platforms. • Oracle, AWS, Azure, GitHub, Kubernetes, or other relevant foundational certification. • Experience gained through internships, student employment, open-source contributions, technical clubs, or university research. Learning and Development Expectations: • Complete assigned cloud, security, DevOps, and Oracle product training during the onboarding period. • Work initially under supervision and progressively take ownership of routine support, automation, testing, documentation, and deployment tasks. • Demonstrate continuous learning, seek feedback, and build proficiency across OCI, OIC, Oracle Fusion applications, CI/CD, and enterprise operating practices.
