About The Role As a Full-Stack Engineer at Reveal, you will bridge the gap between high availability cloud infrastructure and mission critical mobile applications operating at the tactical edge. You will own the evolution of our core web applications, the underlying infrastructure and APIs that empower users in disconnected, low bandwidth, and completely offline environments. This is not a standard, run of the mill CRUD web app role. You will be responsible for solving complex data serialization and synchronization challenges, engineering seamless integrations with external enterprise and tactical systems, and ensuring our mobile apps have a rock solid, highly secure backend to authenticate and sync against. Responsibilities Architect & Scale Frontend Experiences: Design, build, and maintain robust, responsive frontends using React, ensuring exceptional performance, usability and reliability Architect & Scale Full-Stack Services: Design, build, and maintain high performance APIs using Ruby on Rails. Ensure exceptional reliability, maintainability, and response times for web, desktop, and mobile clients operating in challenging environmentsDatabase Engineering: Own the data architecture by driving advanced PostgreSQL data modeling, complex schema migrations, query optimization, and indexing strategies to safely operate production databases at scaleModernize Infrastructure & DevOps: Manage and scale containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes, while leveraging Terraform to provision infrastructure as code. Continuously harden and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines to boost developer velocity and system stabilityElevate Engineering Excellence: Foster a culture of high craftsmanship by delivering production ready, thoroughly tested pull requests. You've integrated AI deeply into your daily workflow to accelerate development, and can speak clearly to how these tools change your approach to code review, testing, and architectureExpert Backend & Database Architecture: Deep expertise in Ruby (including Rails or similar frameworks) and SQL.
