Project Engineer

Our projects are complex, technically demanding and hands-on from design through to construction, and we're looking for a Project Engineer to help bring them to life. About the role Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll translate engineering design and approved methodologies into safe, on-program site delivery. You'll plan and coordinate day-to-day works, track progress, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and maintain the quality, safety and commercial records that underpin successful projects. Based at our Chatswood head office, you'll make regular visits to sites across NSW, with occasional interstate travel. Key responsibilities Delivering projects in line with the approved construction program and methodologyPreparing look-ahead programs, monitoring progress and flagging deviations earlyCoordinating labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and deliveriesPreparing RFIs, resolving site issues and escalating where requiredMaintaining site records to support cost control, variations, claims and EOTsChampioning safety across SWMS, ITPs, pre-starts, toolbox talks and WHS complianceDriving quality outcomes and giving clear direction to supervisors and site crews Qualifications Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural)Minimum 2 years' construction experience, on site delivery or project engineering roleExposure to specialist works (post-tensioning, jacking, temporary works, heavy lifting, strengthening) highly regardedExperience in construction methodology, sequencing and program controlSound commercial awareness and disciplined record-keepingSolid WHS knowledge and a proactive, preventative safety mindsetConfidence to work autonomously under pressureClean driving licence and own vehicle (essential)Permanent residency / full work rights in AustraliaCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in project delivery.
