Hiring: Aviation Cybersecurity Engineering Professional | Canada
Role: Aviation Cybersecurity Engineering Professional
Location: Dorval, QC, Canada – Hybrid
Currently 2 days/week onsite, moving toward 3 days/week
Select roles may be 100% onsite
Work Permit: client sponsors work permits for eligible candidates currently residing in Canada on a Study Permit or PGWP.
Key Responsibilities
Define aircraft and system-level cybersecurity requirements.Review supplier system architectures and cybersecurity protection measures.Assess aircraft cybersecurity architecture, vulnerabilities, and associated risks.Support cybersecurity penetration testing on aircraft and system rigs.Lead cybersecurity incident investigations and resolution activities.Prepare/review design compliance reports and support Transport Canada compliance activities.Collaborate with Avionics, RMAS, Completions, AWOR, Customer Support, and other Bombardier teams.Participate in preliminary and critical system design reviews.Maintain and improve cybersecurity processes in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Represent the organization at cybersecurity conferences and industry committees.Contribute to the evolution and roadmap of the Aircraft Cybersecurity (CYBR) domain.Mentor less experienced cybersecurity professionals.Required Qualifications
University degree in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.6+ years of technical engineering experience.At least 2 years of cybersecurity experience involving networks/systems.At least 2 years of aerospace experience.Knowledge of computer networks, electronics, operating systems, and software programming.Understanding of aircraft system integration and civil aircraft certification.Knowledge of IT and/or Aviation Information Security Management System principles.Familiarity with aviation cybersecurity standards and guidance, including:ED-201A / DO-391ED-202B / DO-326BED-203A / DO-356AED-204A / DO-355AED-206 / DO-392CS 25.1319Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.Strong English communication skills; functional French is desirable.Self-motivated, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
